The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You first breath underwater for the first time is something you will never forget and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver

Course description:

The Open Water Diver course is comprised of 5 academic modules, 5 confined water training sessions and 4 open water dives. This certification is the beginning of your passport to adventure on our PADI Divemaster internship.

This course can be conducted in 2 to 4 days and requires no previous diving experience and you’ll start your Open Water diver course by studying independently with the PADI Open Water diver manual, on day 1 our experienced and fun Instructors will review your assignments and elaborate on any areas necessary, on day 2 you’ll take your fist breathes underwater and enter a new world and you’ll be amazed at why you never took this course earlier but be warned diving is addictive. On day 3 you will complete all of your confined water training that will have made you proficient with basic dive skills and we’ll take you onboard one of our dive boats for your first dive in Open Water, if you thought confined water training was amazing, just wait till you see the beauties of our reef systems, it’s a tropical paradise. The final 4th day will finish your Open Water training with your last 2 dives on our reefs and now you’re a PADI Open Water diver and the adventure is just beginning!

Prerequisites:

To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must

  • Be 10 years or older

  • How much fun scuba diving is
  • Scuba diving equipment considerations for your local diving environment
  • How to plan, and execute actual dives
  • How to prevent and manage problems
  • During confined water dives learn basic scuba skills
  • During open water dives review your skills and explore!

The Learning Materials You Need:

PADI offers a variety of home-study materials for the Open Water Diver course.  E-learning is the most convenient option, and gets your bookwork out of the way so you can just dive!

PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you’ll jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor. Later, as a certified diver, use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures and to review what you learned.
